Sindragosa 1330 Connected Players Maelstrom Q1 2022

First of all, welcome to the Synergie Project! We are a project hosting a number of servers spanning multiple expansions. We have increased leveling rates, as well as a bunch of quality-of-life features to modernize our beloved game. If you are a new player looking to connect for the first time, you've come to the right place.

Getting connected to our private server consists of 3 simple steps - Downloading the game, creating an account, and updating your realmlist. You can find detailed instructions on this process below.

Connecting to Sindragosa WotLK 3.3.5

There are a number of WotLK clients you can use, the only thing that matters is that the download is for a 3.3.5a client. You can either use Google to find a client or download via one of our links below.

Wrath of the Lich King

Depending on your download, you could either have a folder, or a single zipped file. If you have a zipped file (usually you can tell if the file has the extension .zip, .7z, or .rar), then you need to install archiving software, like WinRAR or 7zip to extract the file.

PERMISSIONS ON WINDOWS CAN BE A TRICKY THING WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR WOW FOLDER! I would strongly advise against putting your WoW folder anywhere in your Program Files. Many versions of Windows protect Program Files folders and you can encounter problems later on with this. I would suggest putting your WoW folder on your Desktop, Documents, or even in a new folder under your C:\ drive.

Once you have found a home for your WoW folder to live in, go ahead and open it up. You will see a number of files, there are only a few that are relevant to you, specifically Wow.exe and

In order to connect to our server, you must update your file! To do so, follow these instructions:

1. Locate your file. It is usually in WoW\Data\enUS\ Choose enGB or any other alternative that you see, if you don't have an enUS folder.
2. Open in Notepad.
3. Delete everything in the notepad. Replace it with this exactly:
4. Save and close the Notepad.

With your realmlist updated, you should now be able to run Wow.exe and successfully connect to our server! Now all you need is a registered account. You can find our registration form on our homepage at

Read-Only Errors - Depending on where you got your WotLK client from, there are good chances your WoW folder is set to READ-ONLY. This can be a major pain in the butt that will prevent any settings you change in-game from permanently applying! This can also prevent you from updating your realmlist file, which is needed to play on our server. If you are experiencing either of these issues, right-click your WoW folder, and go to its Properties. You should see a checkbox that says, "Read-only (Only applies to files in folder)". Uncheck that box, and hit Apply. Make sure to have "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" checked, and press Ok. Your files should no longer be read-only, and your changes will be properly saved.

Realmlist Extension - Opening your file in Notepad can be a tricky thing! One of the most common mistakes is accidentally changing the extension of this file into a .txt. To double-check, you can right click the file and go to its properties, and check the line that says "Type of file". If it says "Text Document (.txt), then you need to change its extension back to .wtf. To do this, open up the file in Notepad, then press Save As. Under "Save as type:", change it from Text Documents to All Files. Finally, change the File name to "" and press save. That should properly update your realmlist file back to a .wtf extension.

Crashing on Startup - A relatively rare error, this can occur if your files are set to Read-Only (see above!) If you have followed the Read-Only troubleshooting, but your game is still crashing on startup, you need to run your Wow.exe file as an administrator. Simply right-click the file and press Run as Administrator. You can also create a shortcut of Wow.exe and modify its properties to permanently Run as Administrator.

Black screen - Another rare issue, if you open up your game and you can hear music, but the screen is completely black... Chances are you either have a modern graphics card or dual monitors affecting your game. To fix this, open up your WoW folder, go into the WTF folder, and open up the file in Notepad. Once it is open, add these two lines to the bottom of the file:

SET gxWindow "1"
SET gxmaximize "1"
